Hi Chris Could you help please. Have just acquired a pc which has been used in a doctor's surgery as part of a network The os is windows nt workstation version 4 build 1381 service pack 6. It was my intention to upgrade to windows 2000 but when I tried the operation was unsuccessful due to the following message "unable to create,locate or modify a critical file C:\$WIN_NT$~BT\[winnt.sif]needed to start windows. What should I do?
