Dear Lee, I am trying to convert an mpegav file which will only view in 'xing player' to a format which I can burn to disk and view as video cd. I will be grateful if you could help me. I thank you in advance.

Hi Shahrokh. As I understand it, you don't need to manually convert this file to use it as a vcd. 3 files are used when viewing a mpegav: 1. the mpeg movie, 2. a .dat file (where bit-rate, frequency, etc. are stored,and 3. the appropriate codec. You should be able to copy these files to a cd to make a vcd that should play in most dvd players.
