converting dvd format

I have a dvd video that was taken at a lunchone here. I can load it onto pc and play it with inter video win dvd program. Is there a way to convert this so that it can be viewed with real player or windows media player. most of our staff would like to view this video but cant because thay dont have the inter video software

You'll need to convert it from the file format it's in now. I believe DVD uses some form of mpeg, but I'm not sure. You'll need a program like QuickTime Pro or Cleaner. There may be some freebie software out there that will do it as well. Check download.com Another site for help is dvdhelp.com
Getting the DVD video 'off' the DVD and inside your puter can be a hassle. Try just copying it or look for the word 'extract' or 'export' in the software.
You'll probably want to use Windows Media or QuickTIme...Real Player looks really bad most of the time.
