_Backup

We just upgraded to Access 2002. I was wondering if you know why a multi user database that has been converted to Access 2000 (from 97), seems to create copies of the database with name_Backup.mdb as the dB name. I am trying to find out why this happens (usually a couple time a week), and then how to prevent it.

| Answer provided by admin on 25 Sep 2008 at 10:28 PM That's new to me. I think a backup may be made during conversion, but that's all. There may be something in the code that is creating the backup. Or it may be set to automatically compress on close, but the user is cancelling the process. |
