Hi Jerry. I`m the Clinical Hypnotist and Singing Expert on this site.
After scoliosis surgery/nearly total spinal fusion, steel rod implant 20 yrs. ago, have developed so much spinal stenosis and neuropathy w/ chronic pain that I`ve been disabled and rapidly getting worse. Local docs say I am not a candidate for surgery as I`ve had too much already. I swore I would never have surgery again; but with quality of life growing poorer I am willing to seek out the best hospital/physicans for another opinion.
I`ve been through the medical mill and make a point to stay well informed; but when asking people in the medical field to recommend who or where they think is the best place to go...well, that`s subjective and you can`t tell that who you ask might have an agenda in recommending a particular pratitioner or hospital.
The surgery that got me in this trouble was done at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in NY. There are just so many pretigious hospitals in NY but with mere mortals practicing inside... In your opinion, what would be a dependable resource to ask for a recommendation. (Forget my local docs...they`re no help.)
Thanks...and I hope you are progressing steadily with your own medical challenge.
